Three Things I Learned In Ben Franklin's Shoes
Yesterday I tried to keep to Ben Franklin's schedule. I learned a few things about myself and how I function. I learned three things.
1. I learned that when I get up early in the morning I have time for all of the things I never have time for.
1. I learned that when I get up early in the morning I have time for all of the things I never have time for.
I got up at five am. I ate a big breakfast of oatmeal and an egg burrito. (I figured I'd eat a big breakfast so I'd be full till lunch.) I brushed and flossed my teeth. I washed and straightened my hair, did my make up. Stretched, did a couple push ups to wake up, drank water, said prayer, read scriptures and watched a few minutes of the news. All before eight am.
2. I learned that after noon I don't really want to go back to work.
I'm most prone to get distracted during the afternoon. I wanted to make lunch longer and I didn't want to get my prioritized work done.
3. I felt I had more energy when I woke up this way.
It probably was a combination of enough sleep, drinking enough water, exercising, eating a healthy breakfast and exercising my mind.
