Five things you need to know before going to Disney World.

1. My Disney Experience app is invaluable! Anything you want to know is pretty much on there. You can plan your food, fast passes, when the fireworks are, and even where and when the characters are meeting! Spend some time exploring the app before your trip so you know all about it when you get there!
2. Your attitude determines how much fun you have. Relax! It's a vacation! If you decide you are going to have fun no matter what, you will have fun. Go into it with smiles and dreams. If things do go wrong, be polite as you talk to a cast member about it and they will typically be better able to improve your day.

3. Florida is hot. Come in the cooler slower months like March and April or prepare yourself. The absolute greatest thing I found to keep cool is this neck cooling bandana that you soak in cold water and it keeps you cool! Drink lots of water and if you are staying near by consider going in the morning, then taking naps around noon when it is hottest and then coming back for the evening festivities. This will typically work better for you if you have kids. Drink lots of water. Whether that is water you bring there. Bottles you buy or complimentary water cups with meals or at quick service food locations, you don't want to pass out from heat exhaustion. To order the amazing cooling bandana click here.
4. It also rains a lot.  Waterproof shoes and ponchos make it so that most of the time you can keep having fun and not be interrupted too much by the weather.

5. If there is something your trip has to include before you leave, check when and where that is available and plan for it. Turkey legs close sooner than most people expect. Characters return to their castles and homes, so don't leave the most important things for last.
